Connecting with the self and others may be the most important thing we get to do here on planet Earth, and it's the one thing we aren't taught. The path to connection and living a more embodied life begins with a dash of willingness, a dose of curiosity, and the right set and setting. There may be no better place on planet Earth to weave into your life more connection and embodiment/play than on the beautiful beach of Playa Gigante in Nicaragua. 

Performance and embodiment trainers Elisa Haggarty and Kelsey Crouch will guide you through highly-experiential explorations of the art of communication, managing your state, and active listening so that you can connect deeply with what and who is most important to you in life. 

The week will be filled with opportunities for play, beach adventures, hiking, yoga, and bon fires with fellow curious, kind, and incredible seekers. Including daily surf adventures, cacao ceremonies, and specialized experiences of the many local flavors that this authentic fishing village has to offer.  

This all-inclusive package gives you the support and guidance to get to Nicaragua easily where you can explore and unwind along the road less traveled.  We coordinate and include your roundtrip transportation between airport and our hotel, offer amazing local, fresh, and delicious meals, and keep you comfortable with A/C, hot showers, and Wifi in our 4-star beachside boutique hotel complete with a sparkling pool, on site restaurant + bar, and beautiful Grand Palapa movement space.

Our beachside boutique hotel is immersed in the center of a beachy fishing village along the Emerald Coast of Nicaragua.  Meet friendly locals, walk empty beaches, and see pigs, cows, and goats roaming the streets.  It's that kinda vibe....off the beaten path and surrounded by natural beauty and a slower way of living....good for the soul.  

Getting to Playa Gigante, Nicaragua is easier than you think!  Playa Gigante is situated along the Southern Pacific Coast of Nicaragua, making flights into Liberia, Costa Rica a great option.  You can choose to fly into either Managua (MGA), Nicaragua or Liberia (LIR), Costa Rica to get to our charming beachy oasis.

Managua is the capital of Nicaragua about 2.5 hours north of our hotel.  Liberia, Costa Rica is just over an hour from the Southern Nicaraguan border, and our hotel is about 1 hour from there.  We will coordinate and provide all your transportation between either airport you choose, streamlining the experience from beginning to end.

Part of our service is assisting you with flight selection, and we function almost like your private travel agent to make this process simple and reliable.  Depending on your departure city, Liberia or Managua may be a more advantageous option in terms of price and/or schedule, and we will support you in finding the most optimal choice.

Our 14-room boutique hotel is equipped with a sparkling pool,A/C, hot showers, and Wifi in every room.  You’ll be able to enjoy travel in a a way that preserves comfortable accommodations without losing the rustic touch of travelling off the beaten path to enjoy what makes Playa Gigante unique.  

We have an all-weather multi-use wellness space that is perfect for yoga/movement, breathwork sessions, ice baths, or a game of pickleball. It is a simple oasis in the heart of town with friendly staff, extremely comfortable rooms, and an amazing overall vibe that will shift your perspective on the beauty of Nicaragua that often goes unnoticed or misunderstood.

We have a full-service restaurant + bar to prepare meals and beverages during this retreat.  A colorful fishing village off the beaten path, El Gigante is located just over an hour north of San Juan Del Sur on Nicaragua's beautiful Pacific Coast. 

The town is aptly named “big foot” when translated from Spanish to describe the gentle green foothills that meet the ocean with such ease. A town filled with untouched beaches, roaming farm animals, and dirt pathways; you’ll quickly remember the importance of slowing down and to embrace living simply.  

The lifestyle and culture here very much embodies the phrase “Take it Easy”.  Arriving here feels like taking one long exhale and a chance to just be. 

 Elisa Haggarty is an Integrative Leadership Coach who brings over 18 years of experience coaching and leading teams in healthcare and start ups. Elisa believes that work is meant to be a place of connection and conscious growth and empowers her clients to consider the role of values, play and self-leadership so they can actually love Monday mornings. 

As an early team member of Parsley Health, Elisa launched the Learning & Development department, helping the company to scale 30x and deliver world class medicine. Prior to her work at Parsley, Elisa was a consultant for Chosen Experiences, an international wellness company. 

Elisa also founded Culinary Farmacy, a global nutrition consultancy aimed to educate individuals on the importance of upgrading dietary choices. Elisa is a certified teacher, breathwork coach and Functional Nutritionist who has now turned her attention to empowering leaders to redefine their relationship to work and tough situations. 

Elisa trained with the Conscious Leadership Group, with Jim Dethmer and Diana Chapman, and runs the School of Unlearning Podcast. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her two cats Josie and Lou. 

 Kelsey is an international communication consultant, facilitator, and trainer focused on enhancing individual and team performance, connection, and, ultimately, fulfillment. Drawing on science-based performance and mindset techniques of world class performance, athletes, and artists, she guides practitioners to develop new skills and expand into their strengths, transforming their capacity to show up in the world.

She believes that exploring and mastering communication and embodiment techniques are foundational parts of a meaningful career and of a good life. 

Clients include Fortune 100 and 500 companies such as Google, JPMorgan, The New York Times, Spotify, and many more, as well as speakers at the World Economic Forum and global TED stages. She serves as head pitch coach for several business accelerators in the US. Kelsey is also an experienced special events producer and former Coordinator of TEDxUNPlaza, with keynote speaker Former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. 

Prior to consulting, Kelsey trained as an actress at Syracuse University and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. Her work was seen at Cannes International Film Festival and Israel’s International Arts Festival. Kelsey lives in Manhattan, where she continues doing her best to make this world a better place, every single day.
